Anyone had their kids in ESF Méribel recently? My daughter’s 7 and can already get down blues comfortably, but I’m trying to figure out if the group lessons are actually decent or if it’s worth paying extra for private. Mainly don’t want her stuck in a huge group waiting around half the day 😅 Any recent experiences?
↳ DanielBoards: Haha I’ve got no kids so can’t help on that side 😅 but I actually did a couple of snowboard sessions with The Snow School a few years back with a mate.
We were both decent riders already, just wanted to clean up technique and get a bit more confident off-piste. Really good experience — small group, instructor actually paid attention to what each of us was doing wrong, and it didn’t feel like one of those conveyor-belt lessons. I’d definitely use them again.
Anyone been to Val Thorens in January? Worth it for a group trip? 🤩

Anyone heading to Japan mid-late Dec?

Planning Hakuba for a group of 6 in Feb, none of us have done Japan before. Which base village makes sense — Happo-One or Iwatake? Two of the group are pretty new to boarding so ski school access matters more than steep stuff.
↳ NicoSkis: I’d go Happo-One with a mixed group like yours. More going on around the village and the beginners in your group will have plenty of options for lessons/easier terrain, while the rest of you can still get around the Hakuba Valley. Iwatake is great too but for a first Japan trip with 6 people I think Happo is the easier base 👍
